TESTIMONIALS

I've been practicing with Anita of Allomyoga for over a decade. Her classes are always well structured, thoughtful, considered and perfectly pitched. With Anita, my practice has gradually deepened and I have come to embrace yoga as an important part of my life. I have attended two of her retreats. Both were amazing! She has a unique ability to bring out the best in people, effortlessly mixing fun, laughter, lightness and joy with a commitment to finding calm and peace through an appreciation of yoga's power. She is, quite simply, an incredible teacher and I am so grateful that I get to experience her classes regularly. Thank you Anita!

I’ve been attending Anita’s yoga classes for 10 years in Hong Kong.  Anita has an amazing energy and infectious positivity for yoga and in her everyday life.  I feel energised and at the same time feel very calm and relaxed after attending Anita’s yoga classes.  I've also attended several of her Yoga retreats in Koh Samui, Bali and Hong Kong. Great for the soul and feel healthy and recharged after her retreats. Highly recommend them and can’t wait to attend the next one!

I have been practicing Yoga with Anita at Parkview for about a year now, she is truly passionate about yoga and I like her style of teaching. She always gives options for difficult postures which encourages each one of us to try it. This year as we all know has been difficult with lock downs and closures of gyms and classes, however she  started doing online Zoom classes which have been just amazing and have kept us sane.  Love the positivity and happiness she brings with each class. My favourite phrase that Anita often uses in her class is  "Your body your yoga" :).  Thank you Anita for being so awesome .

Love always,

Naina C, Hong Kong

'I have been a student of Anita for the past 5 years and she is the most amazing yoga teacher I had by far!

She teaches yoga in a fun and inclusive way and for beginners she really takes away the anxiety to try new poses but equally challenges her more advanced students.

Whatever the level of her students in her class she is able to create a non-judgemental environment of trust & and the atmosphere is relaxed, focused & fun at the same time. There are always lots of giggles and most importantly big smiles and rosy cheeks by the end of the class.

Anita has inspired me to become a yoga teacher myself. She is a wonderful example of combining fun, challenge, learning & trying new things combined with a spiritual practice.

I really hope I will be able to touch as many hearts as Anita does.

Thank you for your patience, laughter, encouragement & friendship.'

Yoga with Anita is so much more than just a physical workout session.

With her warmth, compassion and expertise, she will guide you to fully connect with your body, mind and soul.

Her annual retreats, hosted at sublime venues, provide an opportunity to replenish and rejuvenate, join unique activities, explore the area, indulge in delicious and healthy food and make fabulous new yogini friends.

It is a true privilege to be a part of Anita’s yoga circle and I look forward to each and every class with her!

Feeling incredibly blessed to have been introduced to Anita and her wonderful yoga sessions, just a few weeks before the start of restrictions in HK due to Covid-19. I only had two live classes in the park with her before she had to move to virtual zoom classes - despite being a relative beginner, suffering from lower back pain and acute BPPV (dizziness from inner ear issues), Anita was able to guide me through all the poses so seamlessly, always mindful of those of us who needed modifications (blocks/belts/different positions) due to limited mobility or other restrictions. My BPPV has completely disappeared and I do believe re-training my brain through Anita's yoga was one of the key reasons for my recovery.

What I feel really differentiates Anita from other instructors I have had, is that she is extremely intentional with every pose. She is mindful and thoughtful and is able to communicate this so clearly with every twist and turn. Over the course of a few months, my flexibility, BPPV, mental health and back strength improved significantly which I think is even more remarkable knowing this was all done virtually!

The absolute highlight of my summer this year was Anita's yoga retreat in Lantau. A 'treat' in every sense - from the extremely special venue (renovated old Chinese house in a hidden garden) to the daily dual yoga sessions, incredible support and respect amongst the group (none of whom I had met before) and even singing bowls one evening, I honestly could not have even imagined a better way to spend a few days.

Anita has a gift to teach. The fact that she is willing to share it with others is her gift to us!

As a keen physiotherapist, runner and mum of 2 boys I attended Anita’s classes to better balance my life and manage injuries. Anita’s thorough explanation and warm encouragement enabled me to benefit more and more from each of her regular classes. As a result, I enjoy better posture, better balance, better functional strength and sound sleep. I have also taken part in Anita’s yoga retreat. I thought of it as a yoga re-boot after moving the family back to Australia and found that the yoga intensives by the pool combined with exploration of the local culture and friendships; new and old; wound back the stress-o-meter and enriched my yoga practice.

To all yoga enthusiasts,

If you are in search of a passionate, considerate, experienced yoga teacher who combines strong flow with mindfulness and just enough spirituality you have found your lady.

I have been taking weekly yoga classes with Anita Cimmerbeck/allomyoga for 6 years in Hong Kong and have been on 5 of Anita's Asian yoga retreats.

Both are completely fulfilling experiences that I always look forward to.

In my 24 years as a yoga practitioner I honestly feel Anita is one of the best instructors I have ever come across.

After just one class I'm sure you will feel the same.

Namaste,

"Each of Anita's yoga class is a blessing: we learn to get and feel better, each of us at our own pace but in harmony with the group, supported by her wonderful teaching. It has become an addiction I need on a weekly basis"

“Having caught pneumonia in Hong Kong 3 years ago I was looking for a yoga class to help with my breathing.  Not only do Anita’s classes help with my breathing they have also helped me to become more flexible even at my age!  Anita is an amazing teacher, always enthusiastic and so encouraging and I for one can’t wait to join her lessons each week.”

I first met Anita during our Yoga Teacher Training days. Those early days made a lasting impression of a beautiful young lady with a real zest for life. Since then I have been priviledged to walk along side Anita on her Yogic Path from Student to Teacher of the highest standard. Anita teaches with such clarity and compassion and has the wonderful ability to make everyone in the class feel as if they are been given that special individual treatment. Anita you are truly an excellent advert for Yoga and all it stands for.

Anita Cimmerbeck has been instrumental in re-igniting my passion for yoga which I had not practiced since I was a child. Her enthusiasm, intuitive, calm teaching and ready smile were such a lovely mixture to be found in a yoga teacher and I miss her very much, as do many of her London students. Anita takes her teaching very seriously but balances this by having a wonderful sense of humour and being very open and honest.

Anita is a gifted teacher who has a real feel for guiding the group, but also pushing them just enough to explore new heights. She has a wonderful personality and is a true spiritual guru without ever letting you feel a distance. If Anita is not there, I'm not going to class.

To whom it may concern. I have been attending yoga classes with Anita at the Carmina for over twelve months, and cannot speak highly enough of her teaching ability. Her knowledge of yoga is immense. She doesn't only just demonstrate and take you through the poses, but gives you the background of each pose and why it is useful for the body and /or mind. She makes everyone feel at ease, beginners and more experienced pupils alike, and is able to "read" the class well, changing the sequence depending on what the class needs or is able to do on a particular day. Above all, I know Anita teaches yoga for no other reason but because she loves it, for both the physical and spiritual benefits, and wants to share it with others. I feel truly grateful to be one of those!

I write this testimonial on behalf of Anita Cimmerbeck

I consider myself qualified to express an opinion on her qualities as a yoga teacher for the following reasons: I have known Anita for about 8 years as a friend and fellow practitioner. I am a spiritual and meditation teacher of some standing in the UK and I have assessed yoga practitioners for their final assessments. I have been a yoga practitioner for 15 years. I have meditated for over 30 years. In terms of my judgement and capacity to make an assessment of a person, I am a barrister of 20 years standing in domestic and international criminal law. Anita is a yoga teacher with a solid understanding of the underlying principles of physical yoga. There is no doubt in my mind that her teaching is safe and competent. In terms of yoga and the heart, I can safely say there was no equal in the UK. Anita's heart is completely open to her practitioners in a way that is wholly natural and a representation of the Teaching of Yoga in its truest form. What she does cannot be taught, it can only be natural. Any practitioner who is lucky enough to be taught by Anita is taught with the love of a true teacher. Spiritually, Anita was humble enough and concerned sufficiently for the spiritual well being of her students that she recruited me specifically to teach meditation and spirituality in addition to her wonderful yoga teaching. We were at a complete loss when Anita left; she is utterly irreplaceable. Wherever she goes, people will be so happy to be involved in her loving capacity as a person and a teacher.

- Andrew Henley, Meditation and spiritual teacher, UK.

I have studied Yoga since 1998 with a variety of teachers in a variety of locations. Anita is a diligent and conscientious teacher. Her classes are well structured and thought out. She has a wonderful energy, a great enthusiasm for yoga and a passion to teach it. Her classes are infused with good humor and laughter. She has always challenged me to be a better practitioner and for that I am very grateful. It is a pleasure to practice with her.

I've been taking your classes here in Hong Kong since August 2011 and THOROUGHLY enjoy them, actually I would say I am addicted to them. I've been doing yoga (Ashtanga and Hatha) for quite some years and for me your yoga classes are the best! Your instructions are very clear, your demonstration is admirable and inspiring but best of all is the atmosphere you create by preparing the room, picking up on the group's mood and adjusting to the varied levels. You always point out that we need to get in tune with our bodies and listen to it. Your poses are challenging but at the same time you prepare us so well that we actually gradually achieve them. You make me do things I never thought I could do!! With your thoughts and quotes at the end of each session you give us the opportunity to grow spiritually. You spread a wonderful positive energy in which every body feels valued and accepted. Your knowledge about yoga is very deep and thorough and I appreciate this very much. I am most grateful to have you as my yoga teacher and hope we stay here in Hong Kong for a very long time.

I went to weekly classes taught by Anita Cimmerbeck at the Spencer Park Tennis Club in London for a period of three years between 2007 and Anita's move to Hong Kong in 2010. I have been practising yoga on and off for 25 years and Anita is quite simply the best teacher I have had. Anita's approach to yoga is truly holistic and feeds not only the body but also the mind, emotions and most importantly the spirit. Her classes are fun, relaxed and informative at the same time as giving a really satisfying yoga experience. Anita is a creative and sensitive teacher. One of her (many) gifts is to instinctively teach each class according to who turns up on that particular day. No two classes are the same. Those of us who like a more challenging or advanced class would come away having been helped a little further in our practice while others could take things more gently. Those who turned up with particular ailments were always given specific attention. I cannot speak too highly of Anita as a yoga teacher. I miss her classes terribly. Anyone who has the fortune to be taught yoga by Anita will reap the benefits in many ways.

I started practicing yoga with Anita around 18 months ago when I moved to Hong Kong. I wasn't new to yoga but I don't really think I understood its principles, and what a profound difference it can make to your life, until I started Anita's classes. Anita is always extremely well prepared and she really guides the practice around the people who are attending the session so that every pose, every breath, is thoughtful and totally relevant. In this way her classes are so rewarding and such a beautiful experience - every time - that I now know yoga will be part of my life forever. Moreover, Anita herself is an inspiration. It's truly a privilege to be guided by someone who is so open to life, so optimistic and happy all the time. I feel my yoga practice slowly deepening and I owe it all to her.

Anita taught yoga at The Spencer Club, London for several years. She provided classes for both members & non-members. I can honestly say that we have never had any coach or class co-ordinators like her before or since. She is an amazing person full of enthusiasm, positivity & inspiration. Her classes grew & grew over the years as people realised what a brilliant teacher she is. The space she used to carry out her classes was not a desirable yoga space but after 5 mins of arriving every day she had transformed it into a calm, soothing oasis. She is sorely missed & I can't recommend anyone more highly than Anita.

- Elaine, London UK

Anita taught me yoga for a couple of years in London before she moved to Hong Kong. . She was a truly inspirational teacher, totally passionate and I enjoyed every single class that i attended. She is a wonderful positive, optimistic person and I really miss my yoga classes with her!

- Katie T, London UK

Anita has been my yoga teacher for two years. I was and still am extremely pleased to have Anita as my yoga teacher. Her yoga classes are "complete", "full of energy" and "inspiring". Complete, in that she guides us through yoga postures explaining the importance of such a posture. Full of energy, in that she always seems to be able to combine and choose the right postures to make a flow that fills you up with energy. Inspiring, in that her sence of humor and words of wisdom throughout the lesson just add a whole other dimension. Anita's yoga seems to have the right combination: not too much talking and she respects everybody's body & emotional state of being for that day.
